Learn to drive in a fun, relaxed atmosphere and at your own pace using the 'Learn to Drive in 10 Easy Stages' step-by-step workbook. By using this, you will be better prepared for your lessons, therefore spending more time practicing your driving skills. This will save you time and money overall. More details are available on the 'Home' page.
Here are just some of the different ways that you can learn to drive with me. A 'Home Visit' can be arranged if you wish, to advise which way may be best for you as an individual to learn to drive. I will tailor a course to suit your individual requirements so that you can learn at your own pace. All courses include the 'Learn to Drive in 10 Easy Stages' book. This will help prepare you for each of your lessons, saving you time (& money). By using this system you will spend more lesson time driving the car. You will receive only one-to-one tuition, and not share the car with anyone else (commonly referred to as piggy backing). Please note that you can start learning to drive before taking a theory test. Course examples- Intensive Course (1 week)- (35 hours of driving lessons - including the use of the car for your practical test)** This 35 hour Intensive Course is ideal for those want to pass the test quickly but have very limited time available (e.g: Half Term weeks). The course is designed for complete beginners. As the title suggests, this course is very intensive and you will be spending all day in the car (allowing for comfort breaks of course!). Early booking is essential.
Semi Intensive Course (2+ weeks)- (35 hours of driving lessons - including the use of the car for your practical test)** This 35 hour Semi-intensive Course is ideal for those who want to pass the test quickly but at a slightly more relaxed pace than the intensive course. This course is designed for complete beginners. The 35 hours in car training will be spread over two or more weeks to suit your schedule. Early booking is strongly advisable due to the popularity of this course.
Halfway Course- (20 hours of driving lessons - including the use of the car for your practical test)** The Halfway course is ideal for those who have already learned the basic control skills of driving. After a short assessment drive we can clarify a starting point and work towards test standard.
Test Refresher Course- (15 hours of driving lessons - including the use of the car for your practical test)** This course is aimed at those who are nearing test standard and who just need a short burst of lessons prior to the test. It is also ideal for those who have had an attempt at the test a little while ago but have not had any lessons since. The final hour of all courses is for the practical driving test.
Weekly Lessons- Learning to drive by taking weekly lessons can be booked individually or in a block at a discount. The length of lessons can be varied to suit both your budget and availability. Most lessons are 1.5 hours or 2 hours long. If you already have some driving experience, why not have an 'Assessment Lesson'? We can find out where your starting point will be and tailor you training to suit.
Theory Test Training-
I can also offer help for your Theory Test too. Whether it's just a sign in the Highway Code you are unsure about, or help with the questions and Hazard Perception, please do not hesitate to ask. I can supply Theory Test training Books and DVD Roms should you require any. You will be asked questions during your practical driving too which will assist with your theory training. If you wish to purchase any Theory training product, please use the 'Contact' page.
Pass Plus-
Pass Plus is a road safety initiative aimed at improving the skills of newly licensed drivers. After pupils pass their test they can undertake further tuition from a registered Pass Plus instructor. Pupils should then be entitled to a substantial discount on their motor insurance premium. Most of the large insurance company's participate in this discount scheme and there names can be found through the Pass Plus designated website. Click here to find out more. The course covers 6 modules: - Motorway - All Weather Driving - Night Driving - Country Roads - Town/City Centre - Dual Carriageway The course will take a minimum of 6 hours to complete, and there is no test at the end of the course.
Motorway Tuition- If you wish, you can have tuition on motorways only once you have passed your test. If for example you have to drive to a particular location for work regularly, we can concentrate some time on the particular route to boost your confidence and knowledge further.
