Frequently, people want to learn to drive quickly, and L2D offer a variety of courses designed to get you your full driving licence within a short period of time. However, Intensive courses are not suitable for everyone. Weekly lessons are equally in demand from a high proportion of people and are equally well catered for with L2D Driving SchoolA 'Home Visit' can be arranged if you wish, to advise which way may be best for you as an individual to learn to drive. If you wish to learn 'intensively', a course can be tailored to suit your individual requirements and availability so that you can learn at your own pace. Pass rate from all courses between January 2010 to October 2011 (with test taken at the end of the course) =  90%

All L2D students will have the opportunity to use our unique video clips of potentially difficult area's on test routes in Newbury.

Weekly Lessons-

Learning to drive by taking weekly lessons can be booked individually or in a block at a discount. The length of lessons can be varied to suit both your budget and availability. Most lessons are 1.5 hours or 2 hours long. Already have some experience? After a short drive we will find a starting point for you.

 Course examples-

All Intensive style courses are NOT car shared. They include the L2D Learning Programme, Video Clips of Newbury area's (for your PC) and the use of the car for one practical test (the final hour of the course)

Due to practical test booking conditions (Driving Standard Agency T's&C's), you should have passed your theory test before taking an intensive type course.

One Week Intensive Course-

35 hours of driving tuition -. The course usually starts on a Monday and finishes Friday, with the practical test booked for early the following week to enable you time to relax from the course.

This Course is ideal for those who have very limited time available, often done with a week of annual leave or during school or college holidays.This course is designed for complete beginners or those who have had very little driving experience. The 35 hours in car training will be very intense as the title suggests. This course usually needs to be booked well in advance, however occasionally may be available at reasonably short notice.

Semi Intensive Course (2 or more weeks)-

35 hours of driving tuition -      

This 35 hour Semi-intensive Course is ideal for those who want to pass the test quickly but at a more comfortable pace than the one week course. This course is designed for complete beginners or those who have had very little driving experience. The 35 hours in car training will be spread over two or more weeks to suit your schedule. This course is very popular method of learning to drive, therefore early booking is usually necessary. It is the most successful form of intensive training. 

Intermediate Course

30 hours of driving lessons - 

This course is ideal for those who have basic experience, e.g: basic left and right turns, mirror use, and clutch control. The 30 hours will be spread over any required time to suit your schedule. This course is extremely popular, early booking is advisable.

Halfway Course-

20 hours of driving tuition -

The Halfway course is ideal for those who have already learned the basic control skills of driving and have some road skills too. After a short assessment drive we can clarify a starting point and work towards test standard. 

Test Refresher Course-

15 hours of driving tuition -

This course is aimed at those who are nearing test standard and who just need a short burst of lessons prior to the test. It is also ideal for those who have had an attempt at the test a little while ago but have not had any lessons since. 

Pass Plus-

Pass Plus is a road safety initiative aimed at improving the skills of newly licensed drivers. After pupils pass their test they can undertake further tuition from a registered Pass Plus instructor.There is no test involved, your progress is evaluated by your Instructor and recorded. Pupils should then be entitled to a substantial discount on their motor insurance premium. Most of the large insurance company's participate in this discount scheme and there names can be found through the Pass Plus designated website. Click here to find out more.

The course covers 6 modules:                                                                                                                                          Motorways, Dual Carriageways, All Weather Driving, Night Driving, Rural Roads and Town/City Centre Driving. 

Motorway Tuition-

If you wish, you can have tuition on motorways only once you have passed your test. If for example you have to drive to a particular location for work regularly, we can concentrate some time on the particular route to boost your confidence and knowledge further.

Terms and Conditions apply to all driving tuition with L2D and learning with us is based only on your full acceptance of these. A copy of these will be given to all clients and are also available on request. 

PLEASE NOTE: The DVD is on a loan only basis for the duration of the course and must be returned on completion of the course (unless purchased).
